About Our plate count agar ttc and plate count agar ttc (neutralisers) dipslides (box of 10)

Plate Count Agar TTC & Neutraliser

The PC2TN dipslide has Plate Count Agar (culture medium) on both sides. Plate count agar measures a total viable count. This dipslide also has the addition of TTC red spot dye. If your sample has microbiological contaminants in it, colonies will grow on the dipslide. Due to the addition of TTC red spot dye, the colonies will grow as red dots. You count the red dots and compare with the chart provided to assess the level of contamination.

This dipslide also includes neutralisers. Neutralisers are added to agars to 'neutralise' the effect of disinfectants / germicides. This is useful if you wish to test the efficacy of disinfectants / germicides.

Plate count agar is recommended for dairy and food applications.

These PC2TN dipslides are available in boxes of 10.
